Appreciation

While I'm busy looking up at a balloon, I realized that there's an ice cream melting on my hand. I guess it's time to appreciate the things I HAVE instead of staring at the things that I WANT.

A simple thought that we usually forget to consider in life. :)

Patience

Patience child, patience. remember, life is a journey. If you got everything you wanted all at once there'd be no point to living.

Enjoy the ride, and in the end you'll see these set backs as giant leaps forward, only you couldn't see the bigger picture in the moment.

Remain calm, all is within reach; all you have to do is show up everyday, stay true to your path and you will sureply find the treasure you seek.

Message In A Bottle (Favorite Quotations)

If you simply ignored the feeling, you would never know what might happen, and in many ways that was worse than finding out in the first place. Because if you were wrong, you could go forward in your life without ever looking back over your shoulder and wondering what might have been.”

Nicholas Sparks, Message in a Bottle

“As a girl, she had come to believe in the ideal man -- the prince or knight of her childhood stories. In the real world, however, men like that simply didn't exist.”

Nicholas Sparks, Message in a Bottle

WOMAN

Love verse

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Love Is the Greatest

1 If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 9 Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! 10 But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.

11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

A Peace of Mind

"The Word"
by Tony Hoagland
Down near the bottom
of the crossed-out list
of things you have to do today,

between "green thread"
and "broccoli" you find
that you have penciled "sunlight."

Resting on the page, the word
is as beautiful, it touches you
as if you had a friend

and sunlight were a present
he had sent you from some place distant
as this morning -- to cheer you up,

and to remind you that,
among your duties, pleasure
is a thing,

that also needs accomplishing
Do you remember?
that time and light are kinds

of love, and love
is no less practical
than a coffee grinder

or a safe spare tire?
Tomorrow you may be utterly
without a clue

but today you get a telegram,
from the heart in exile
proclaiming that the kingdom

still exists,
the king and queen alive,
still speaking to their children,

- to any one among them
who can find the time,
to sit out in the sun and listen.

The song of my life

I've been working hard so long
Seems like pain has been my only friend
My fragile heart's been done so wrong
I wondered if I'd ever heal again

Ohh just like all the seasons never stay the same
All around me I can feel a change...

I will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
Leave the past behind me, today my life begins
A whole new world is waiting it's mine for the takin'
I know I can make it, today my life begins

Yesterday has come and gone
And I've learnt how to leave it where it is
And I see that I was wrong
For ever doubting I could win

Ohh just like all the seasons never stay the same
All around me I can feel a change...

I will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
Leave the past behind me, today my life begins
A whole new world is waiting it's mine for the takin
I know I can make it, today my life begins
Life's too short to have regrets
So I'm learning now to leave it in the past and try to forget
Only have one life to live
So you better make the best of it
I will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
Leave the past behind me, today my life begins
A whole new world is waiting it's mine for the takin
I know I can make it, today my life begins

I will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
Leave the past behind me, today my life begins
A whole new world is waiting it's mine for the takin
I know I can make it, today my life begins
Today my life begins...

The Sweetest Statement :">

 å·¥ レo√乇 ã„š◯∪ ♥

That's how it goes..

People change.

That's why there's no assurance of how long they'll stay.

Don't expect too much, even to assume anything more.

Just learn to appreciate of what they can give.

And learn how to accept of what they can't give.

APPRECIATION IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT ACCEPTANCE IS BETTER. :)

Just be thankful..

We don't have everything to enjoy life, but we have life to enjoy everything.
Always choose to see the nice things.
Life is happier that way. :)

ENJOY THE RIDE ;)

"Life is like a roller coaster ride. It has ups and downs. But it's your choice to scream or enjoy the ride."

;)

One thing that I always find interesting is that whether I am at an amusement park or a water park...it doesn't matter the type or length of roller coaster/ride I'm on, there's one thing in common. It's always a slow ride going up and a fast fall going down. Different people react differently. For some, the ascent is filed with trepidation and fear. For others, it is anticipation and excitement. Some scream or close their eyes on the way down. Others throw their hands in the air and laugh. When the ride is over, some can't wait to do it again...while others walk away vowing to never do that again.

This reminds me a lot of life in general.

I was like those people that fear the trip up to the top of the highest hill on the roller coaster. I wanted to close my eyes as I went further and further down...to pretend it wasn't happening. It would've been easy to walk away and never go back because I didn't want to face the unknown or deal with the anticipation of what might or might not lie on the other side. All that did, was slow my progress. I made hasty decisions and kept changing "the ride" so to speak. It's hard to reach the top when you keep starting over.

This writing was very much for myself, but it is also for anyone that has fear or wants to give up. STOP IT. Stop being afraid. Stop telling yourself you can't make it. Learn to be okay with being uncomfortable. It was all for nothing if you quit.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to just embrace everything that goes along with change. I'm not where I want to be, but I'm on the way up with my eyes open and my arms in the air.

Being a Bestfriend

Part of being a best friend is listening. Often friends seek advice or words to comfort him or her, but sometimes not saying anything shows the mark of a best friend. By discarding lengthy speeches and simply listening attentively, I can truly focus on my friend. Actively watching for subtle changes in emotion, flickers of internal thought, and facial expressions allows me to delve into my friend’s situation. I simply allow myself to be infused by his or her story, whether it is a tale of a major success or heavy burden he or she needs to let out. It is then when apathy consumes me and I can try to feel what they are going through. :|

Infinite..

KEEP ON DANCING!

For these past few days.. I've learned that LIFE MAY NOT BE THE PARTY WE HOPED FOR, BUT WHILE WE ARE HERE, WE SHOULD LEARN HOW TO DANCE AND AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, GO WITH OUR OWN GENRES. ;)

Bedistang Marketista: The Banquet

Last February 25, 2012, Saturday, the San Beda Junior Marketing Association held a Marketing Ball at Trader's Hotel, Roxas Boulevard. It was our first time to attend such extravagant event in our college life. I was also surprised to be awarded as one of the Best Marketing Research Paper and one of the Top 10 in Individual Oral Defense. Also, our section, 3-AMC, has been awarded for winning the Societal Marketing Ad Competition. Hooray!!! Lastly, the new set of Executive Board were proclaimed. I am so proud of everyone! God bless us all. Go Marketing! :)

It was awesome. It was a special night of glamour and elegance. We are all stunned as the beautiful ladies and handsome gents from the Department of Marketing as we walk down the red carpet in our best formal attires. We all had fun and as we celebrate the Marketer spirit in us. It is definitely a nght to be remembered! :)

One of our best experience! Immersion days..

The immersion activities that we had at Hospicio De San Jose was indeed so memorable. Spending time with our lolas and the pre toodlers is one of the best experience that we had. It seems that they are really in need of attention and love. And I realized that it is not the material things that is important in life, it is the people we met and the events that had and will happen that makes it significant. With our lolas, their tantrums and care for us as if we are their apos will be missed. I will miss the times that we had with them especially those when we help them eat, go to their bed, stroll them around the corriedor and give them some entertainment. Although they have their tantrums at times, we still manage to understand them and give them what they want. No matter how suplada they are we are still there for them and reach out our hands. We felt the love and care from our lolas and also that same thing that they need from the people around them. We see to it that we maximize our time when we are with them. I will miss them so much. And for our dear chikitings, the pre-toodlers, they will also be missed. They are our little sisters and brothers whom we love. They are so sweet whenever we say goodbye everytime our period of immersion will end. I will miss their cute naughtiness. I will miss how they treat us like their own ates and kuyas.

SURELY, YOU WILL ALL BE MISS. :'>
